I'm using the package provided by Ubuntu Linux 6.10. I also appear to  
have the crypto_drv file on my filesystem:

peter at odin:~$ locate crypto_drv
/usr/lib/erlang/lib/crypto-1.5/priv/lib/crypto_drv.so
