You could do this for example by using Psi's XML-Console. It is accessible via
the context-menu when clicking on a jabber-connection in the Psi-Roster.

I get some problem with that tough:

<iq type='get' to='jabber.stud.hs-heilbronn.de' id='version_1'> <query
xmlns='jabber:iq:version'/> </iq>
<stream:error>
<xml-not-well-formed xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-streams"/>
</stream:error>

What am I doing wrong?
