Thanks for replies

Actually, there are already instances running jabber :

% ps aux | grep jabber
> ejabberd 2874 0.0 0.0 7384 408 ? S 10:15 0:00
> /usr/lib/erlang/erts-5.5.4/bin/epmd -daemon
> ejabberd 2891 0.0 1.5 41584 16252 ? Sl 10:15 0:00
> /usr/lib/erlang/erts-5.5.4/bin/beam -- -root /usr/lib/erlang -progname
> erl -- -home /var/lib/ejabberd -sname ejabberd -s ejabberd -kernel
> inetrc "/etc/ejabberd/inetrc" -ejabberd config
> "/etc/ejabberd/ejabberd.cfg" log_path "/var/log/ejabberd/ejabberd.log"
> -sasl sasl_error_logger {file,"/var/log/ejabberd/sasl.log"} -mnesia dir
> "/var/lib/ejabberd" -noshell -noshell -noinput
> ejabberd 2971 0.0 0.1 12388 1592 ? Ss 10:15 0:00
> /usr/lib/erlang/lib/ssl-3.1/priv/bin/ssl_esock

But it doesn't work,

This is not a problem of '/etc/ejabberd/inetrc' file because ejabberd
created
it when starting

Anyway, it seems the init script isn't working like it should because if I
try :

> # /etc/init.d/ejabberd stop
> Stopping jabber server: ejabberd already stopped.
> # /etc/init.d/ejabberd start
> Starting jabber server: ejabberd.
> # /etc/init.d/ejabberd restart
> Restarting jabber server: ejabberd is not running. Starting ejabberd.
>

Whatever... I can't access to the server
And when I try starting it manually :

ejabberd at nox:/etc/ejabberd$ /usr/sbin/ejabberd
> Erlang (BEAM) emulator version 5.5.4 [source] [64-bit] [async-threads:0]
> [kernel-poll:false]

> {badarg,

> {stringprep,control,2},
> {jlib,nameprep,1},

Any idea, again ?
Thanks
