[ejabberd] Server crashing on startup

I had a working ejabberd instance and did try to enable http-bind
feature. The server didn't start but the main oddity is that after reset
the config file to the backup I did the server still doesn't start.

Versions:
OS: Debian Lenny
ejabberd: 2.0.1
erlang: 12.b.3

Please, a hint. That report seems to me a little cryptic.
