Hi,
I've got the same problem with ejabberd 2.0.5 installed in OpenSuse 11.2. I.e,
file transfer is not working. I've just commented out the default "mod_proxy65"
line in the ejabberd.cfg configuration file. I've using pidgin as a client.
My server is listening to the following ports:

tcp 0 0 127.0.0.2:7777 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5222 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5269 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5280 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
...
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:45437 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
...

(output from "netstat -nat | grep LISTEN")

In the "ejabberd.log" observed that my server (ejabber1.mydomain.com) is trying
to open a conexion to "proxy.eu.jabber.org" an timed out:

I(<0.379.0):ejabberd_s2s_out:1139) : Trying to open s2s connection:
ejabber1.mydomain.com -> proxy.eu.jabber.org

As a result of this the file transfer doesn't work. I'm wondering if is it
necessary my server to connect to jabber.org in order to file transfer gets
working??

Ciao,
Javier
