These changes will be applied in the next days:

1. For ejabberd 2.1.0, ejabberd-modules/mod_irc improvements
will be copied to ejabberd/mod_irc, so both mod_irc will be identical.
Related URLs:

2. For ejabberd 3.0.0 and newer, ejabberd/mod_irc will be deleted
and not included in source code packages anymore.
This means since ejabberd 3.0.0 if an admin wants mod_irc,
he should install from ejabberd-modules.
This will be mentioned in the release notes.

3. For ejabberd 2.1.0 and 3.0.0, ejabberd-modules/http-bind
and ejabberd-modules/mod_http_fileserver will be copied to ejabberd SVN.
This means since ejabberd 2.1.0, admins that get ejabberd from SVN
will not need to separately get those modules.

In summary, the result will be:
ejabberd 2.1.0 will include the improvements of mod_irc
ejabberd 3.0.0 and higher will not include mod_irc anymore
ejabberd 2.1.0 and 3.0.0 source code packages will be fully hosted in
ejabberd SVN
