Depends on how do you get ejabberd in a form ready to be installed and
how stable you want it to be.
If you need it stable, fork a branch off 16.02 tag, cherry-pick that
commit Evgeny refers to, build, install.
If you install ejabberd from an OS package, get the package's source,
turn the necessary commit into a patch (`git show`), integrate the
patch into the package, build, install (the package).
If you're fine with running a bleeding edge from the sources then just
build the master's tip and install.
