Hi Holger and Randy,

thank you for your replies.

@Holger: yes my idea was each RPi running behind a different DSL
connection for the reason Randy indicated: I want to avoid a single
point of failure.
I'm very open to other ideas for another way to avoid a "service
interruption". Though it is only for family and friends I don't want to
be forced to spend an immediate night-shift in case the XMPP server has
a problem.

Just for curiosity: why wouldn't clustering behind different DSL
connections work?
